For adults, a diagnostic dyspraxia assessment is the only way that Developmental co-ordination disorder (DCD) / dyspraxia can be formally identified. The dyspraxia assessment will be carried out by a specialist assessor who holds a current Assessing Practicing Certificate (APC) and an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and relevant insurance.
The dyspraxia test involves completing a series of short activities which usually take around 3 – 4 hours.
This assessment will also provide a clearer picture of your cognitive profile strengths and areas for improvement. This will ensure that any support put in place is as effective as possible.
Following your assessment, you will receive a personal assessment report, approximately 25 pages long, divided into the following sections:
- Summary of findings
- Background history
- Underlying Ability
- Conclusions
- Practical Recommendations
- Technical Appendix (Contains numerical scores and glossary)
We believe in supplying the highest possible quality dyspraxia assessment service and report and take every step to ensure the report contains the most relevant information for your personal situation. To ensure the report is thorough and accurate, we take up to three weeks to complete it. This can be quicker at quieter times of the year. Please contact us if you need your report sooner.
Assessment fee: £500 (Monday – Friday, all-inclusive) or £600 (Saturday – Sunday, all-inclusive). If we come to you, we may charge a little extra for travel, but we will discuss this with you during the booking process.
