A diagnostic dyslexia assessment is the only way to formally identify dyslexia. The dyslexia test will be carried out by a specialist assessor who hold a current Assessing Practicing Certificate (APC). Our assessors are Associate Members of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) and have an up-to-date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and relevant insurance.
The dyslexia assessment involves completing a series of short activities focusing on pictures, words and sounds and the dyslexia test usually takes around 3 hours.
This assessment will also provide a clearer picture of employee’s cognitive profile strengths and areas for improvement. This will ensure that the support put in place meets their needs effectively.
